With C-19 came the time of being isolated at home, with little to no work. There was lots of home things to organize, a bit of work to finish off, and then I experienced a physical disconnect and I sprained my dominant hand. (Yes, I understand the emotional aspect of that one.)
It was time to turn things into an opportunity for growth. I decided to do a "Non-Dominant Hand Series" of cards. Just black and white ink as I sure didn't know how my left hand was going to handle a brush! It definitely is different drawing with that hand, and I am enjoying the experience. They started with "Freefall" diving into a shamanistic journey on paper. Sometimes it is best to step outside of time-space to get re-oriented into a new place. This was followed by another one on the same day ... it was "Beltane" and no-one was out holding the ribbons this year in Canada. I grew up in B.C. and those years of dancing on May 1 around the Maypole was pure joy! The next day thoughts of happy whales filled my mind ... and as the record keepers they must certainly be noticing change. This was "Seeds of Change." And the fourth one here was "Spring Birthdays" of which mine is one. And I so much wish to step out into that new future. As the world splits, let's choose gardens that support life. |
I became a certified reflexologist in March of 2019 and I am practising out of Breathing Space Yoga and Wellness Services in Hamilton, ON at 541 Main St. East (call to arrange appts) and also regularly at Good Health Mart on Wednesdays & Fridays at Westcliffe Mall, 640 Mohawk Rd. W. Call to book anytime.
Training and learning the physical minute movements of the practice, doing research and following up with case studies in 2018, gave me a year working with different people — over many sessions. All the while learning the intricacies of this wonderful, alternative therapy. I have continued extended studies with a established group in Denmark to expand my knowledge. I created this reflexology visual chart for myself to illustrate the reflex points in the feet as a quick "artistic" guide for myself and to use for a small chart. (See note with illustration.) 80% of my case study clients — outside of family — resulted in experiences that included better sleep, better digestion, and an easing of asthmatic episodes. 98% of people found the session as relaxing as any massage, and most people — over 90% — dropped into either the alpha or theta state during the session. This made me a firm believer in the therapy and the value of touching and working with the reflex points on someone’s feet. Since 2022 I have seen wonderful progress in some people's state of mind and health. |
Paintings
A IS FOR AMAZING, B IS FOR BERRIES, C IS FOR COFFEE
The beginnings of the alphabet. Lol! The order "of process" is sometimes a little different than the norm.
Thought I would have some fun with letters. Since I am a book designer, it is great to get up close to letter form again. This play on letters is created as the images come to me — whichever letter shouts out first, that is the one I paint. Connect with me if you would like to order a letter for someone for Birthdays, Christmas, or just because you wish to gift someone something more personal. The letters "already done" sell for $60, if you would like a custom-one created -- ie. you may have |
something you would like drawn for a certain letter. And you might want a different type face. Depending on the complexity of the image the cost would be $75-$90 for the block plus shipping and taxes.
See the Contact page to get a hold of me. Your email is never abused, shared with any list or anyone else. I do very infrequent emails, and you can be removed from the list at any time. Until then, may you enjoy what you are doing, enjoy the kindness of others as you are yourself kind, and see the wonderful beauty of this planet! CUSTOM ORDERS ACCEPTED!
Let me know your letter, perhaps some things that begin with the letter that you or your "gifted special someone" loves. Allow 5 weeks for orders, including shipping time as these are personally done and depending where you are — and Covid-19 — shipping may take longer. See Contact page to connect. |

FORM AND SPIRITUALITY
INDIGO MOON
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas (Metallic Paint for the Lotus Flowers)
UV Coated Size: 24" x 36" x 1/2" thick canvas Price: $325 + shipping (Shipping will be priced at time of sale.) I have always seen the feminine form as part of the earth. I have hung this painting both horizontally and vertically. Vertically when I wish to emphasize my connection to Gaia within myself, horizontally when I wish to connect with my form, my connection to to Source through meditation, and the aspect of inner growth — the symbol of the lotus flowers. |

DAILY RITUAL
|
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas / UV Coated
Photo transfer onto gel. Images taken in India at Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai Size: 12" x 30" x 1" thick canvas Price: $250 + shipping (Shipping will be priced at time of sale.) When I visited India and I did a temple tour through southern India I was struck by the colours, of which blue was a prominent one — often as backgrounds for the temples and the chakras. It has always been one of my favourite colours anyway so it increased that for me. This painting uses some images I photographed and then created as layers for this painting. That morning I noticed a "daily ritual" feeling about this temple. Women who knew the pathways of the temple, who seemed to me to be creating energetic pathways and palatable prayers that floated invisibly throughout. Barefoot and grounding spirit into their world. |
JOURNEYING A SHIFT (Commission)
Medium: Acrylic on Board / UV coated
Size: 83cm x 68cm or 32.67" x 26.77" on supplied board Price: $500 + shipping This was my latest commissioned painting that I did for a client after she finished outfitting her van for her next life adventure: Living the Van Life. She thought of it, she liked the thought, started by finding a van, and some great people, and then one year later — she had done it! (Right before the alignment of Pluto and Saturn.) Often it’s better when we just go with our guts. The poem Lens of Freedom was written by Jorge Pereira, as it was given to him by spirit to accompany the painting. (If you're on your phone turn it sideways so the poems lines do not break.) |
Lens of Freedom
With a leap I spread my wings and take off. No worries. No doubts. My inner guidance Leads me where I'm meant to go. Like the air supporting a hawk's flight, Spirit within gives strength and lift. Every bend, turn and path open before me, Just as dandelions choose to pop up. New vistas of life engage me. Other possibilities appear out of the fog. I find my balance. No different from a tree At the tip of a rugged cliff, Amid sunny or stormy weather. Rivers show me how to flow. Oceans meet the heavens, The way the heart touches the mind. Planets and stars speak to me Of inspiration and cosmic connections. I've got no qualms with the ill-reputed Saturn and Pluto, Nor with Uranus, nor with any celestial forces. We've found harmony in new understanding. And there's no need to shoot the messenger Mercury, For the messages are always most welcome. Blame is an ugly creature, Living now in the past and history. Henceforth, I am the trusted keeper Of my own lighthouse in my own reality. All that the heavens hold with unparalleled mastery Knows well my essence as immeasurably deeper Than the roof of the midnight blue sky over beings; That my majesty surpasses the highest mountain. My integrity and humility bear the strong fragrance Of the lush valley, pregnant with soothing peace. The sun and moon greet me every day, Like a brother and sister sharing an adventure. I let out a thundering screech. The whole universe knows I am surely here. And it is I, indeed, who journey With the sharp eye and confidence of a hawk. The light of my fundamental essence Grows and soars through the mists. I am the morning star rising. Freedom of being is the novelty taste. Joy is the spark of creative living. Leave your tears in the wells of sentiment, Just as raindrops get swallowed by earth. Watch me fly like a hawk to higher realms, Where yin and yang merge into one, As day is absorbed by night Into infinite winks of light. Jorge Pereira © 2020 (This poem is a companion to the painting accomplished by Tannice Goddard, drawing upon the same source of inspiration to channel it.) |
STARSEEDS ACTIVATED
Detail Starseeds ... bottom of painting.
|
Medium: Acrylic
Size: 72" x 13" on canvas, painted rocks at the bottom held with sterling silver to wooden painted rods. Coated copper wire across the top. (With rocks maybe 74" tall). Price: $600 + shipping This painting came in a few months after the Saturn/Pluto alignment of 2020 and it is so tall that you really cannot see the details well when shown as a full image (I will try to take an image of this again). The energy of this astrological planetary alignment was not what I envisioned years ago when we all sang "The Age of Aquarius" in the 70s. It came in a lot heavier. Yet through chaos comes change, and let's hope the trajectory is peace for all. How long? This particular blue "does not photograph well." I have never seen anyone do it. A painter's dilemma, but here it is. The blue is not so garish as what shows here, it is much softer — the same with the violets. So I took some closeups you can see below. The lightning for me represents the "moment of change" with the Pluto/Saturn conjuction affecting the planet. The yellowish light, like an eclipse of the sun — reminds us there is always something to be learned or transformed, yet we cannot see it all at the moment. On the earth's waters are the whales — the record keepers, and the dragonflies represent the change, the transformation and if we are lucky — some self-realization. Below the earth is a "new star" being birthed. And below that is what I call the "Starseeds" and they are now activated. For those of you that worked with quartz crystal, you might remember the record keepers that lay on the faces of some of them. The little triangles of real silver and 24kt gold spread out amongst the Starseeds are representative of those. Think of them as the information/energy we have been waiting for to allow a consciousness shift. The one that allows everyone to see what a wonderful planet we live on, and to understand "finally" how to take care of it and understand we "are nature," not separate from it. And these Starseeds are rising up to greet us — out of the "ground" of all things. Detail of Earth, the birthing of a new star and the Pleiades star system to the upper right and the Orion's belt and bow to the left.
Detail of the rocks at the bottom of the painting that hang from the rods, plus the material that is sewn to the canvas at the top and bottom.

THE RAINBOW BODY
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas / 24k gold dust / UV coated
Size: 18" x 36" x 1/2" thick canvas Price: $250 + shipping (Shipping will be priced at time of sale.) The Rainbow body is another name for the energetic chakra's within the physical form. Creating a mix of spiritual views of these centres I have placed the sanskrit symbols and images along with their colours along the spinal column. Colours of the chakras change depending on practices and where those practices originate in the world. This is only one view. |
AROUND THE WORLD IN LOVE (SOLD)
|
Medium: Acrylic on a circular canvas with a wood frame /photo transfer on gel, photo transfer on tissue, rice paper, antique shells, UV coated
Size: 12" diameter, and roughly 1" thick (after the curved sides) Price: $125 + shipping (Shipping will be priced at time of sale.) This piece represents my travel around the world. Full of love and spirit, travelling really does open up our hearts to others. The centre image is from the ceiling in Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai. The tiny shells were from an antique store in British Columbia. This is not the sharpest image of this piece, nor the best representation of its colours, but I am not sure if I have another one ... and now it is sold. |
